Project Description:
The safe and efficient generation and storage of hot water in secure and high dependency units is of paramount importance. Not only for comfort, and decency, but for safety – legionella thrives in poorly maintained and installed hot water systems, and its presence poses a real risk to all those who encounter it.
Industrial Boiler Services (UK) Ltd were very pleased to be awarded a full design and build package, which addressed various hot water issues for one of its East of England clients.
The scope of works included the validation of existing flow rates, removal of existing calorifiers and storage tanks, modifications to control systems, replacement of failed simplex and duplex base exchanger water softeners, and the design and installation of new hot water generation and storage systems.
Solutions were bespoke for each area, ranging from instantaneous plate heat exchangers systems serving small units, to semi-instantaneous plate heat exchangers coupled with buffer vessels to serve larger, high demand areas.
